Every year we gather together international experts, community volunteers, conservation practitioners and academics to discuss the latest knowledge and expertise on red squirrel conservation. If you’re interested in our work, you should join us!
The first two day Knowledge Fair took place in Belfast, Northern Ireland in March 2017. Day one focused on workshops to share learning from national and international red squirrel projects. Areas of discussion included community engagement and grey squirrel control. The following day everyone headed to the Mourne Mountains to see the management that Ulster Wildllife has been doing to this red squirrel stronghold.
This event is funded by the EU LIFE14 programme and the Heritage Lottery Fund and we are thrilled to be planning the 2018 Knowledge Fair currently! Dates and booking information will be announced shortly but we can confirm that the 2018 Knowledge Fair will be taking place in Bangor, Wales in Spring 2018.
